Sa première décennie en tout cas, où le jeune britannique mélange country, pop baroque, glam et disco avec l'aide de son ami et parolier Bernie Taupin. Des disques assez méconnus, surtout si on a découvert Elton via la BO du Roi Lion, son hommage à Diana ou en dansant sur "I'm Still Standing".
